Let's be honest...I "want" to go to INDIA!!! I have wanted to go to India for about...ohhh, let's see, 6 or 7 years now, ever since I got back from Africa. Yes, I have had the amazing opportunity to go to Turkey, Cambodia and Peru since then, and they have all been amazing trips...but I am still waiting to go to India! It's been "next on my list" for way to long I tell you...
It is a long story, but basically, there is a small group from church going to East Asia this summer (for 2 weeks), and I had not even considered it. Until a few weeks ago, I was praying about something completely different, and I heard God say, "go to China this summer, trust me, you want to go." Just to clarify, it was more like a clear "thought" inside my head, not an audible voice; no, I am not hearing voices. But I am learning to recognize when God is speaking to me; and personally, I hear him in my thoughts.
And if I have learned one thing in the last few years, it has been that God knows me better than I know myself...He has a better plan for my life than I could have, or ever would have imagined on my own. So I trust Him, and I obey Him and I am going to East Asia this summer...! :)
The trip is going to cost an estimated $2,500.
There is no pressure, I know God will provide every penny for this trip, especially because He spoke so clearly.
